A native to California, he and his family moved to Seattle in 1996. As a young boy, Adam Sonnet found his enjoyment in art and storytelling. He won several awards for art poster contests and pursued visual arts as a personal aspiration. In more recent years he has discovered his passion in film production. Motion picture inspired him in a new way to communicate his otherworldly ideas through a medium that many can enjoy at once.
In 2005 he partnered with Tyler Clausen and they created a dark comedic science-fiction television show in the Puget Sound area called, Organic Guerrilla. The show ran for two years and aired more than 20 mind altering episodes. The show was given its name because of its raw organic structure and guerrilla film style. In 2007 he met Elle Sonnet, who he later married. He and Elle partnered together and founded Sonnet Realm Films, a film company that caters towards fantasy and science-fiction movies and comedic webisodes. In 2008 through 2010 he and Elle co-produced with Temporal Studios Star Trek fan series called Star Trek: Phoenix, which premiered throughout the Northwest and on the web.
In 2009 he co-directed a sci-fi short film called “The Incursion”, with Gale Benning, which premiered at an artist event in Seattle. Adam has plans to release The Incursion at other film festivals. Then in 2011 he acted in a short film called “Thank You”, which was directed by his wife Elle, and was selected and premiered at the National Film Festival For Talented Youth.
In the latter end of 2011, he and Elle moved back down to Los Angeles where he is actively involved in several short films, a feature, and the pre-production 3 web-series. Two of which are produced by Sonnet Realm Films. Adam is currently co-producing season one to a comical sci-fi space opera web series called Space Dominators which is scheduled to premier next year in 2013. He is also co-producing a mockumentary style web series called Rolling. He is an active screenwriter and has written several scripts for feature length films that he plans to produce and direct in the future.
For fun he and Elle enjoy karaoke, going to renaissance faires, sci-fi conventions, making silly videos, and traveling abroad.
